Do you know who Dr. George Grant is? He was a Black dentist from Boston who invented the golf tee in 1899! He used wood and dental materials in order to create the tee.Grant gave the tees freely to his friends. The tee has become one of the most used pieces of sports equipment. The 'Uneven Fairways' tells the amazing story of Black golfers who wouldn't give up on their dream of playing pro golf, even though they weren't allowed to play with white people. They were brave, skilled, and never gave up, opening doors for future generations. Their story teaches us to chase our dreams, no matter how hard things seem!
