Do you know who Dr. George Grant is? He was a Black dentist from Boston who invented the golf tee in 1899! He used wood and dental materials in order to create the tee.
Grant gave the tees freely to his friends. The tee has become one of the most used pieces of sports equipment.
The game simply would not look the same today without this incredible black inventor.
